Kenall provided planning, architectural and engineering design, and construction management services for a $1.076 million renovation project involving the modernization of the interior and exterior of a four-story residential complex for senior citizens in Galveston, Texas.

Originally constructed in 1978, the building underwent extensive updates that included asbestos, mold, and mildew abatement, modifications for ADA compliance, replacement of residential kitchen and bathroom components, and improvements to the HVAC systems. Compliance with the Seaward Zone of the Texas Windstorm Code was required for the replacement window design. The project scope also included the renovation of public spaces, such as corridors and the elevator lobby, within the building’s north wing.
