Kenall conducted geotechnical evaluations and engineering analyses for the renovation of a fire station at Naval Air Station Meridian. The project involved the addition of a 1,500 SF, single-story sleeping dorm with a slab-on-grade foundation and steel frame construction, along with utility relocation and stormwater control measures.
The scope of work included a topographic field survey, geophysical investigation using ground-penetrating radar (GPR), subsurface exploration, and laboratory soil analyses. Kenall performed geotechnical and geological site evaluations, provided foundation design recommendations, assessed seismic site classification, analyzed total and differential settlement, and recommended general construction guidelines.
